The attacks do not have to hit to count against the total number of protected hits. Multiple Safety Walls do not stack on one cell.   • al_pneuma.gif Pneuma (Level 1) : Creates a 3x3 cell cloud (although the animation only appears to cover the center cell!) around the target cell that blocks all ranged Physical attacks. This means that it also blocks the bow attacks of players, so take care not to prevent any Hunters or Bow Thieves in the party from being able to do damage! Monsters count as being "ranged" if their attack has a range of 4 or more cells. Pneuma cannot be cast if it is targeted to overlap an already existing Pneuma area or a Safety Wall cell. Does not block splash damage or negate the Flee reducing effects of having multiple targets attacking you. Do note that although you can see the animation on top of a Land Protector, Pneuma will have no effect.

Weapon Damage Calculation

First of all, I am not good at math calculation. But this simple formula can roughly give you some idea how weapon damage can be calculated. Specially thank you to IRO players fuyikijun, Too Legit to Quit, Award #1 Troll, Ashuckel and other players who openly discuss this topic on the IRO forums. To educate the players, I would like to post it here today on 11th July 2018.

Base Weapon Damage(wATK): 180
 

+15 Weapon Upgrade Damage (wATK): 7*15 = 105

Str Bonus Damage @ 100 str (wATK) : 180 * 100/200 = 90

Str Bonus Damage @ 120 str (wATK) : 180 * 120/200 = 108

Total Damage w/o EDP 100/120 str : 375/ 393

Total Damage EDP @ 100 str: (180 105 + 90)*5 = 1875

Total Damage EDP @ 120 str: (180 + 105 + 108)*5 = 1965

 

+15 C.dagger

Base Weapon Damage(wATK): 55

+15 Weapon Upgrade Damage (wATK): 5*15 = 75

Str Bonus Damage @ 100 str (wATK) : 55 * 100/200 = 27.5

Str Bonus Damage @ 120 str (wATK) : 55 * 120/200 = 33

Bonus damage (eATK): 55+225 = 280 (Level 70 or higher: Every 10 Base Level, ATK +5)

^280 (Base Level 185) is came from 15(refine) x15(refine)+55 atk=280 atk

Total Damage w/o EDP 100/120 str : 352.5/ 357

Total Damage EDP @ 100 str: (55 + 75 + 27.5)* 5 + 280*3 = 1627.5

Total Damage EDP @ 120 str: (55 + 75 + 33)* 5 + 280*3 = 1655

Hit Per Second(HPS) / Damage Per Second(DPS)

How many hits per second(HPS) for having 193 ASPD(Attack Speed) ?
What if ASPD = 193
HPS = 50 / (200 - <Your ASPD>)
HPS = 50 / (200 - 193)
HPS = 50 / 7
HPS = 7.14
Aspd 193 = 7.14 HPS(for 1 hand, if for both will be 7.14 x 2)

Therefore, high damage per second(DPS) is so important. Just assume if your damage is 30k on the main hand and 7k on the left hand with 193 ASPD. 
DPS = Right Hand Damage + Left Hand Damage
DPS = Right Hand (30k x 7) + (7k x 7) Left Hand 
DPS = 210k + 49k
DPS = 259k


GX now has access to tf_double.gif Double Attack Critical by using daggers and for the right hand it has 50% chances hit (7x2) and left 7 times. Thus the calculation is like,
DPS = [(30k x 7) x 2] + (7k x 7)
DPS = [210 x 2] + 49k
DPS = 420k + 49k
DPS = 469k

  • The reason I am opening this topic is to foresee what is the possible gears/items/cards we should get. By understand the formula, it helps in maximizing and understanding how the damage calculation works. And throughout the the formula, we could understand mostly everything.

    (Before continue reading below, I would like to state this is just estimation of Damage Calculation)
  • Floor is the meaning of round down for example 210.99. If [210.99] means it is 210.

Final Damage (Final Step)

  • Final Damage = floor[((Total ATK x Skill Damage Modifier x Skill % Bonus x Ranged % Bonus x Ranged % Reduction) x Hard DEF Multiplier - Soft DEF) x 1.4 x Crit % Bonus]
  • Refer the following Steps to obtain the Total ATK

  • Total ATK = (Status ATK x 2) + Weapon ATK + Equipment ATK + Ammunition ATK + Buff ATK + Mastery ATK

Ok, my best friend @Chester and I both sit down and talk about it. Also getting some opinions from different friend such as @Bibo , @willusion as well as @Akin and advices from @Lyssky.

Here are the results :-

  • +16 19191.png Racing Cap(Guillotine Cross)[1]  (Atk + 10 rer 2 refine rate. Increase attack speed (reduce delay after attack by 2%) per 3 refine rate. refine rate 8 or higher : Increase critical damage by 5% per level of Left Hand Mastery user learned. Refine rate 11 or higher : Has a chance to gain critical damage + 20% when dealing physical damage.) [Refine +12 to 16] [High Cost]

Conclusion
When come to the End Game Equipment for berserk mode, +16 19191.png Racing Cap(Guillotine Cross)[card.gif Lord Knight Card ] + gamblerseal.png Gambler's Seal has higher DPS which is 1 to 2 seconds compares to +16 18856.png  White Drooping Eddga Hat + 18874.png Monocle [card.gif Lord Knight Card ]. The equipment test is yet included the GX Enchant. When without berserk, currently +16 18856.png  White Drooping Eddga Hat + 18874.png Monocle [card.gif Lord Knight Card ] has higher DPS. <<<Rolling Cutter>>> test will be included in the coming videos.

Hi @S e n t i m e n t a L Just a couple of questions:

For a Katar build is it better to have a sidewinder card on the weapon + FAW or a battle surcoat? Right now I'd be going for a +7 FAW or Battle Surcoat.

Also, what would be the setup for an hybrid build right now I have the following:

- RC/Farming build:     Rideword hat, Tengu Set, Heroic Hidden Cloth, +7 FAW (ASPD enchants), Temporal STR boots (ASPD enchant + Bear's might), expert rings and Katar of Thanos

- Crit build:                     Oni horns (random hat I have), SIgnrun's wing, Spiked scarf, JDR with FS enchants, ring of the flame lord  + Rogue's treasure (again, random accesories, I have a POM but I hate the autocast), the rest of the equipment stays the same.

Right now I'm farming for a white tiger hat, I also have a Gambler's seal laying around somewhere, but since this build doesn't have 120 luk I don't use the gambler's seal and don't see the point on getting the LBS, and shifting some stat points from DEX to luk doesn't seem like a good idea, as I'd miss too much with my Rolling cutter, another option I guess would be shifting from either STR or AGI, but that would imply changing the temporal boots to luk ones (which is an option I guess) or I'd be missing on a ton of ASPD, which is already a problem for me, I'm barely hitting 191 right now.

Suppose Triple Attack has critcal like double attack. But seems like the gm team have forget about it and no player is willing to remind the gm team, therefore faw is better for time being until triple attack has critical attack then surcoat could be better.

Well if for farming normal monsters, STR Boots isn't bad idea. But if you're farming instances, I would prefer for hybrid build.

Just to share with you, I have few different luk boot to adapt in different situation.

Main : Luk Boot FS LD - Usually for MVPing and pure critical attack DD or Katar usage
Low Dex RC Build(only 29 dex) : Luk Boot FS  Bear - Using shortcut switching gear to Rolling Cutter build(Using exellion wing atk, exellion armour str and expert rings) Skill After Delay Sets
Tanking Build : Luk Boots FS Muscles : Critical / Rolling Cutter Build i use nightmare mummy card(boots) and nightmare ancient mummy card(garment). I switch to this when when i solo instance like IS. The floor 41st, all range attack from the monsters. So when i use this set of equipment most of it causes sleep status. So that, I could slowly clear them. Or you can also consider GARM card if you have higher budget against range attack monsters.

Thank you for your input, I recently asked about tripple attack crit, and Cap said it does crit, it just doesn't have the crit animation, he also said the dps is lower because it has an animation delay.

So my takeaway is stick to FAW + Sidewinder. Then I'll switch to Luck boots (Already planning to) but I'll keep the STR ones for mob farming, maybe I'll get my hands on an enchanted excellion set for farming stronger mobs. Thanks for your input.

+ 9 FAW Fatal 10 is for damage purpose
+16 COC is for balance build in term aspd and critical rate but damage wise won't far from FAW.

First of all, I am not good at math calculation. But this simple formula can roughly give you some idea how weapon damage can be calculated. Specially thank you to IRO players fuyikijun, Too Legit to Quit, Award #1 Troll, Ashuckel and other players who openly discuss this topic on the IRO forums. To educate the players, I would like to post it here today on 11th July 2018.

Base Weapon Damage(wATK): 180
 

+15 Weapon Upgrade Damage (wATK): 7*15 = 105

Str Bonus Damage @ 100 str (wATK) : 180 * 100/200 = 90

Str Bonus Damage @ 120 str (wATK) : 180 * 120/200 = 108

Total Damage w/o EDP 100/120 str : 375/ 393

Total Damage EDP @ 100 str: (180 105 + 90)*5 = 1875

Total Damage EDP @ 120 str: (180 + 105 + 108)*5 = 1965

 

+15 C.dagger

Base Weapon Damage(wATK): 55

+15 Weapon Upgrade Damage (wATK): 5*15 = 75

Str Bonus Damage @ 100 str (wATK) : 55 * 100/200 = 27.5

Str Bonus Damage @ 120 str (wATK) : 55 * 120/200 = 33

Bonus damage (eATK): 50+225 = 275

^275 is came from 15(refine) x15(refine)+50 atk=275 atk

Total Damage w/o EDP 100/120 str : 352.5/ 357

Total Damage EDP @ 100 str: (55 + 75 + 27.5)* 5 + 275*4 = 1887.5

Total Damage EDP @ 120 str: (55 + 75 + 33)* 5 + 275*4 = 1915

Referring back to this calculation, as we can see both damage is about the same. But the different between these 2 weapon are the Earthquake. FQL has autocast earthquake whereby crimson dagger doesn't. Therefore the DPS I would say FQL is better. /no1 (well this is for the old calculation before the latest KRO update)

Let me calculate again with the new calculation when I am free abit lol..

According to the KRO latest EDP formula changes, EDP equipment attack % has now changed from 400% to 300% which mean that it is big disadvantage for Crimson Dagger. You maybe have a look at the latest calculation for the Crimson Dagger.

 

Base Weapon Damage(wATK): 180
 

+15 Weapon Upgrade Damage (wATK): 7*15 = 105

Str Bonus Damage @ 100 str (wATK) : 180 * 100/200 = 90

Str Bonus Damage @ 120 str (wATK) : 180 * 120/200 = 108

Total Damage w/o EDP 100/120 str : 375/ 393

Total Damage EDP @ 100 str: (180 105 + 90)*5 = 1875

Total Damage EDP @ 120 str: (180 + 105 + 108)*5 = 1965

Base Weapon Damage(wATK): 55

+15 Weapon Upgrade Damage (wATK): 5*15 = 75

Str Bonus Damage @ 100 str (wATK) : 55 * 100/200 = 27.5

Str Bonus Damage @ 120 str (wATK) : 55 * 120/200 = 33

Bonus damage (eATK): 55+225 = 280 (Level 70 or higher: Every 10 Base Level, ATK +5)

^280 (Base Level 185) is came from 15(refine) x15(refine)+55 atk=280 atk

Total Damage w/o EDP 100/120 str : 352.5/ 357

Total Damage EDP @ 100 str: (55 + 75 + 27.5)* 5 + 280*3 = 1627.5 <----------------------------- 280*3 used to be 280*4

Total Damage EDP @ 120 str: (55 + 75 + 33)* 5 + 280*3 = 1655 <---------------------------------- 280*3 used to be 280*4

Therefore, I would like to say FQL is now much much better than Crimson Dagger while using EDP.
